Raid Information

Raid time is suitable for me. I am а very active player, so that I can raid every day, even 7/7, and I would be really happy to attend as more raids as possible. I usually login at 18.00 server time and play till 24.00 - 01.00 (or later if needed). On weekends I play almost all day long.

Guild history:

Blood Peas (Laughing Skull)
That was my first guild. In summer 2008 it was about to disband, while a lot of core raiders were on vacations. In August 2008 all of them migrated to Russian server. I decided to stay because of real life friends.

Gnome Pest Control Inc. (Laughing Skull)
I have nothing bad to say about them, good guild and good community. The main reason I left was the lack of progress and casual state of raiding. We had a lot of good players, but our progress was not impressive. Seems like people just didn’t want to be the best.

Fast Forward (Twisting Nether)
Good guild and good people as well. Unfortunately, they stopped all progressive raids (hardmodes) because a lot of core members were on long 1-2 months vacations.

More Information

I try to keep up to day to current class information and news. I check forums: http://www.wowmb.net, elitistjerks.com, top guilds’ forums, blue posts on mmo-champion.com. I usually read tactics on bosskillers.com and stratfu.com (or search for them somewhere else, if they are not available on the above sites, or not completely clear). Also I search for good movies (preferably from ranged DPS point of view).

As for my professions, my choice are enchanting (because of ring enchants) and Jewelcrafting (Soulbound gems). Both professions benefit is exceptional spellpower.

I don’t PvP much, since I don’t really like it. But I’d like to start my arena career, if only I’d find a partner who is also a beginner in PvP, and won’t whine a lot.

Hey! Seems like you put some effort into the application, which is great!

First of all, you should know I am no officer, or even warlock, but I have a few questions.

You're gemming for crit in yellow sockets. Motivate this versus haste, please.

You're also gemming for most (all?) bonuses, even the mediocre ones. Motivate this compared to raw spell power.

No tailoring because you're a slacker (like most people ;P)?

You have left old guilds because lack of progress. While I completely see how that can be the right thing to do, I feel inclined to ask if you're the kind of guy who sticks with a guild even through rough times?

Personally, for the affliction spec, I would sacrifice the range for some more fel concentration, nightfall and fel synergy. I do respect wanting more range, but is it worth the trade-off? Nightfall improves mobility (and dps somewhat), while fel synergy keeps your pet from almost certain doom. Any input?

Thats all I could think of at the moment.

What I meant is that you (at least back in the day) still benefit more from haste than crit even at like 1000 haste. Overstacking hit is easily solved by moving more points from supression into soul leech or whatever. Also 12dmg + 10crit + 4hit(bonus) is probably worth less even if you need hit, than 23dmg. Correct me if I'm wrong. There are loads on this on EJ and stuff, so let's not spend our entire day on this point alone.

Enchanting is an OK profession, don't get me wrong. But tailoring is kick ass. I know exactly what you mean about it beeing shit in the start of wotlk tho... (When I rolled mage I levelled JC and BS, only to drop BS for tailoring 2 weeks later...)

DPS these days should not need to spec for threat reduction. It seems wierd also that you get threat reduction for destro spells in an affliction spec where it's basically around -3-4% actual reduction. Rather than just moving 2 points from fel concentration to imp drain soul?

Flyby is a dick! Anyway, I don't want to "fight" with anyone either. I just belive that the best way of figuring out of someone knows their shit is to pressure them a bit
