Hello, Crab People!

I've decided to write this application in a freestyle manner, which suits me more than templates. My name is Ivan, and I'm soon to be 27 years old, hailing from the province of Dalmatia, that being the southern coast of Croatia.
I'm a casino dealer, and for all practical purposes this means I work nights.

This has kept me from hardcore PvE gaming throughout TBC, and for some of WotLK as well.
I have, however, participated in almost all the raids since 2005., due in part to my awesome pugging skills :)
That's only 50% joking, since with Wrath, all of the content is puggable more or less, and I'm not shy about making my own raids. The only raids I've never been to/cleared are lv60 Naxxramas and sadly, Sunwell, even though I very much liked the Isle of Quel'Danas setting and absolutely loved MGT and the whole lore behind it all.

My guild raiding experiences started back on Stormscale where me and a few mates started Balkan Express, which grew into bEX, which runs still, here on Talnivarr. Many friends there still. Did up to AQ40 with them.

Not to go into boring CV mode, I have been in many guilds since then, I will mention a brief episode in Army, and a very sad experience in Second Wind, which could have been great, but turned out a flop. During this time I have done all Wrath raids in all roles, acquiring knowledge that has enabled me to make many succesful pugs of my own.
I am currently guilded with friends from bex, and the old Balkan Express crew is somewhat together, even if on alts, and new chars. Doing casual 10mans and oldschool PVP (you know, using brain in BGs) :))
The reason I apply here is plainly that, I spend a lot of time playing WoW, and would like to become part of a 25man effort again, kill the Lich King, save the world! :)
I also plan on playing in Cataclysm and being a part of a guild such as Crab People when it comes, would be a valuable added experience, I'm sure.

Whether playing Battlegrounds, 5mans, PUG or guild raids, I am an achiever, and a valuable asset in whatever function I am performing.

I consider my slacking time to be that in which I am not playing WoW.

There are 7 characters + bank char on my account on Talnivarr, all of which I have leveled myself before the nerfs, with the obvious exception of my DK.
I know a lot about this game and try to keep in tune with the changes to ALL classes, not just the ones I play on a daily basis. Of the 7, I raid and gather Frost emblems on 4.
Those being my DK (), Priest (), Shaman () and Hunter ().

These 4 I am absolutely on the ball with, and devote much time and effort into making them best possible avatars in PvP and PvE. I switch specs like changing socks, always finding better or more fun way of doing things (or both simultaneously).

I am making this application for my Shaman, since that is what I got wind that you need, it could just as easily have been any of my 4 mains. I do not like one aspect of the game over another, and no, this doesn't make me less skilled in any of them.

As a shaman healer, I have not focused solely on tank or raid healing, but instead use the glyphs and spec which allow me to perform well doing both. Chain Heal glyph is a natural choice should I start doing 25mans regularly, for now a big part of my 10man/5man healing style are ES/LHW, thus my glyphs.
I use my cds and trinkets wisely, and try to make the best use of such talent gems as improved water shield and ancestral awakening; for these I have geared my shaman towards crit/haste, with emphasis on crit on gear and SP/Haste in gems.

On heavy raid dmg encounters I'm not shy about rotating Riptide and CH on the group of people that need it most. I look at the raid UI as much as the actual battlefield; I must note that I'm a big healing addon hater, IMO they take away from your gaming experience by making you play whack-a-mole with popping frames of different colour.
Feel free to disagree :) Never needed any addons except DBM and Recount to improve my performance.

My overhealing is always lower than most other healers I group with, and has been since 2005. I'm just programmed to not waste mana, it's a relic from the days that one actually had MANA ISSUES. :))
I'm open for discussion on the topic of shaman healing and/or gearing.

My next upgrade will likely be the Frost emblem totem, getting that in 2 days.
I'm also hoping for Bastion of Resolve 245, though I have downed Marrowgar in a 25man pug and missed a shot at the sexy shield he drops. Twice.
Note that the set pieces I miss are the ones that drop in VoA - that's on purpose ^^
I usually get what I want in there :)
Cloak and bracers are pvp - placeholders till I get 251 wrists and maybe 264 cloak which are all reasonably easy to obtain - and these serve me well at the moment.

One other, perhaps the most important thing of all to note, I have recently applied to Chop Chop and were declined, due to my inability to raid every day in the week. I found that a sad occurrence since they didn't seem to have any other negative criticism to my Priest/Shaman application.
I believe that being hardcore at this game means to excel at it when you ARE playing, not excel at your playing TIME. As I have stated on their forums, I am able to attend 3 raids per week 100%, and 4th raid 50-75% of the time. I'm also pretty keen on never being late and when I am late or unable to come, I ALWAYS notify in advance.

Grats on reading through it all, I like to write, so... hope you like to read :)

Expecting your reply,

Declined due to lack of experience, gear and inability to keep up with our raid schedule.

P.S: Gemming for SP when your not close to the soft haste cap confuses me somewhat.

I never gemmed raw SP, was always haste+SP (I like my socket bonuses dammit!)
