About Me

Hi my name is Graeme and i am from Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm 24 years old and i guess i'd like to say i'm a pretty normal guy have pretty much the same interests any guy my age would -> Drink, sports(mostly football) but been quite into the NFL past few years, clubbing/socialising, film/movies, women(the feeling is not mutual tho :( ) and well i guess of course computer games and wow. I'm a pretty chilled out guy mostly and hoping that the core bunch of your guild are atleast 18+ and good for banter on vent!

Spec : I can play both holy and retribution to a high raid level, i'm sure in extreme circumstances i could play protection aswell however my gear for this spec is quite sub par.

I realise from reading through what you are recruiting that you are only recruiting a Holy Paladin and not Retribution, i would like to point out that Ret would be my preffered spec however i can play holy aswell. I am currently retribution for my current guild so the spec on armory stands, the Holy spec is a PVP spec so please ignore it - the spec i would use for PVE is the standard Holy one(aka the spec i have -fear talents +2 in intellect for 5/5 -sacred cleansing and imp hoj and put into max jotp and imp blessing of wisdom) I can mock up the spec on wowhead if needed but i'm sure you guys know what it is. The glyphs for both specs are what i'd be using in PVE currently aswell.

As for my gear i'm logging out in my holy PVE gear so you can peruse over that as a quick rundown though i'm using 2pc 264 Head/Shoulders with the rest of my gear being 264/277 mixed in. I don't have the ideal holy gear this far into ICC as explained before i've been playing retribution in ICC. I do believe the gear is still pretty good aswell as being a val'anyr wielder aswell even at this content level the absorb is sick and counts toward so much healing that i will most likely not be upgrading this mace until the expansion is over. The upgrade of 200spellpower or a massive tank/raid absorb(with glyph of holy light). I use the Holy light spellpower libram because i'm not some scrub that just spams it over and over and requires to use the reduced mana cost libram cos they are dumb as fuck. I can manage my mana and divine plea cd fairly effectively and barely need innervates as i am self sustainable(mostly!!).

My retribution gear is by far better however. I am currently using 4pc with ilvl277 chest and the Fleshrending Gauntlets(heroic) as the gloves. My offpieces are a mix of 258/264/277 including the gunship heroic bracers/ring, rotface heroic cloak and TAJ normal. The only thing that really lets me down is my greatness card as my 2nd trinket. Believe it or not i've not seen 1 Whispering fang skull drop at all and with me not being ret in ToTc i obviously do not have deaths choice, but after running both normal/heroic totc past like 2/3weeks again i've yet to see it apart from 1 time it got ninjaed!! I'm using the LK expertise sword and would be looking to upgrade to Heroic Bryn or ideally Shadowmourne ho ho ho :)

As stated before i've played this entire content as ret luckily though we were short a healer last week and therefore i had to heal so i will have logs for both ret and holy specs so you can assess both(all kills are hardmode):

Just as a note i'd like to say my sacred shield was on ot's most of the time hence my flash of light hot ticks and ss absorb may be low as the other paladin was ss'ing the MT. Usually i like to SS the MT and have my beacon on the OT. Obviously depending on fights and situations beacon's/ss's will be switched over on tank switches, beacon on saurfang marks etc etc.

If you wonder about my valimathras dps well i've always had to heal that fight never dps'ed at it although i'm sure i could manage it. Think it gives a fair reflection of my damage top1-8 most fights(i think?!?) and even top5 for a few.

Both logs are probably missing putricide and lk normal kills as they would have been done on a different day, i'm sure you can find those logs yourself if you desperately want to see them.

You may be wondering why i am leaving my guild and i'd like to say there is no bad blood at all and they are a fantastic bunch of guys to raid with, i'm just simply fed up of not having decent arena partners on my current server and am migrating to Talnivarr to play with some guys. Wow?? Sorry if that offended anyone, it was not directed towards anyone but more was a general comment that i know of paladins that use the mana reduce libram + 90% cast holy light + eat down every innervate they can. My point was that i'm pretty much self sufficient and i don't sit and cast HL over and over and over then cry for innervates hence i use the SP libram over the -mana one. Sorry if you personally got offended by that, but i don't know how you think i can personally attack you when i don't know anyone in the guild :( No offence was meant to be caused!

so when LK hits the tank for 40k do you use flash of light then? seeing HL spam is kinda req sometimes?

I'm not sure if your question is serious or not??? If you think i can't apply all my utilities as a holy paladin then i'm really uncertain what to write? For clarification the comment was meant as i do not go into a boss fight and press 1 button from 100% -> 0% aka i do not have holy light binded to my entire keyboard where i just smash my face off it until the boss dies.

If you are seriously asking me about LK healing then in phase 1 ss the MT and beacon on the shambler tank -> i can pretty much get away flash healing with shock/hl in between if there is a slight dip. I also use the phase to top of any members of the raid who are low from infest with a shock on one and if instant fol procs then a instant fol on a different low infest target. Mana won't be an isssue at all in this phase and divine plea is used during the transition phase where we are walking to the edge. The raging spirit phase is fairly easy to heal off with just flash whilst you wait for the next phase. The val'kyr phase the same ss/beacon rules apply for soul reaper, i am also always whether i'm ret or holy the first person to aoe stun our 3 valks and then have our rogues take over stun duty on whatever specific valk they were assigned. This phase will see me using a mixture of fl/hl depending on soul reaper and alot of shock usage as i'm moving for defile. Mana once again isn't an issue for me at this stage and divine plea will once again be used in transition putting me back to 100%. Raging spirit phase again and whilst slightly tougher this time, i can still pretty much get away with flash usage some shocks in between and hl if really necessary. Now the last phase which i believe you were referring to - YES the majority of my healing here is HL admittedly however i still have time to mix up my healing with flash/shocking - this time trying to time my plea with cds such as wings/DI so my healing isn't completely scooped. Dependant on if there are 1 or 2 shamans in my healing group i sometimes may snatch an innervate at this point. Especially on our earlier kills we ended up doing LK with only 1 replenishment because we are dumb and healers dying to vile spirit all over the shop that ended up with myself and a few healers having to heal the last phase on our own and thus me requiring to grab as many innervates as i can!!! In a normal raid situation where the full raid/healing team is alive that shouldn't be the case.

Hope that explains to you what you wanted to know, all i meant by the comment was that i am not like the "stereotypical" paladin hero that only presses 1 button and my healing adapts to that. I'm sure i could go through various fights where flashis perfectly fine throughout the fight and others where your main spell with be HL but honestly you're all smart boys it would just merely be patronising hence i'm not even sure my LK healing account up there is needed^^^??? But hey sorry for any offence caused by the comment.

As i did state in my application i have played RET throughout the whole of ICC aside from last week where we were 1 healer short. I have healed in ICC at various points ofcourse as an example i've always healed at valimathras however the bulk of my experience in ICC has been as ret. We always raid as 6healers for our valimathras/sindragosa 1st kills i believe we went 7healers though. If what i'm saying is massively wrong then apologies i haven't healed the hardmodes up until last week(and well haven't even done/tried LK hardmode!!!) so my comments are merely on what observations i made last week. In that raid we had 2 holy paladin's and a disc priest i'm sure you guys know what that means - tank healing is insane with a constant incoming of alot of the time 35k+ i would agree with you if i was a solo paladin healer most if not all my healing would be HL as to make sure there are no/minimal tank dips which can be covered by pennance or swiftmends in that case however having 2 holy paladin's i'm sure you realise the tank healing is alot different and does not require both of you to press holy light from 100% to 0%.

Before anyone jumps on me i'd like to add the 2holy paladin holy light 100->0 comment is all relative and entirely fight dependant before an angry mob jumps on me to point out i'm wrong.
