Head start started 45 mins ago for those who pre-ordered, I'm on Icewatch if anyone is interested in joining me there.

Hey. Been thinking about doing an MMO casually. Tried EVE but man that learning curve is harsh. CBA, I'm doing this to have something semi-simple minded that I can play while watching movies/tv series. I bet EVE is that but not until I learn it and frankly I have little interest in that. So now what, I thought. RIFT! I've seen that shit! People play it!

In short; is RIFT worth playing? How much like WoW is it?

It's a lot like wow, but really casual friendly. You can easily log in, do a random rift that's spawned in the zone, do a couple of quests, w/e you like :p

Sounds pretty nice then. I like wow a lot but I could never be casual in a game I used to play hardcore :P

I received my copy on release day a few months ago but never activated it. Probably going to activate it sometime this summer and check it out once again.

Its like a slower and less interesting version of WoW imho. Did not like very much.
