Ah Finally separate threads!

Agree with Enigma pretty much completely.

Infact there isn't really much else to say about it. Only thing to mention is that some games have co-op story campaigns. I wasn't sure if you where referring to co-op campaign games or story driven multiplayer games in the last section.

What I meant was that you generally won't find any storytelling in multiplayer games, with only a few exceptions like portal and gears of war.

When I say multiplayer I mean both versus and coop.

I...i don't really know what i prefer more, i pretty much play all ma games in 'multiplayer' or so to say, since i hang around at the so called net caffe 90% of my gaming time cause solo gaming at home gets boring daym fast.

What got me into PC gaming in the first place was LAN and it's what's keeping me in i guess :)

On topic:

Singleplayer for the story, wich is sadly rare nowadays (skyrim) 'cause the MMO/multiplayer scene is so huge companies are scared to explore new ideas. Only those with an already running franchise make sequels to games they know are gonna sell. It's all about the $$$ wich makes me wanna holocaust the greed outta this planet.

A personal recommendation from recent releases is Saints Row: The Third - can also be played in co-op with 1 more player
The game it reminds of the most is GTA, never see anything that is more "over the top" :D srsly pure awesomeness and lolz

Multiplayer i play for competitivity (is that even a word?) mostly, wow i play cause of...well i don't really know, i just do.

Yes, multiplayer is awesome for the competition, but I really think there are a couple of differences here.

Multiplayer with randoms, like MMO or most competative games, is awesome but lacks the story telling part, and I accept that. To me, the story part has really become just a too slow element for me. I totally accept that it is a very interesting part for many, however. Personally I can't really see why anyone would want to play a game all solo rather than co-op with friends... If skyrim, which looks amazing as far as the content goes, was doable co-op, I would probably dedicate hours and hours into it. Playing all alone makes me sad though. :(

Oh yeah. I used to play loads of RPGs back in the day... But then LANs happened (as said before), and I just never went back to gaming alone...
