so we have some anime fans, so what do you watch?/have watched?
Shakugan no Shana (second) - magical girl/school/romance/semi serious
Clannad (after story) - school/romance/visual novel
Asura Cryin' (2) - school/mecha/romance
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (purezza) - school/romance/comedy
Hidamari Sketch (x365) - slice of life
Rosario to Vampire (capu 2) - school/monsters
Kanon - school/romance/visual novel
Lucky Star - school/slice of life/comedy
(Shin) Koihime Musou - romance of the 3 kingdoms with girls/visual novel/yuri
White album (2) - visual novel/romance
Kampfer - school/comedy/yuri
Ichigo Mashimaro - slice of life/comedy
(zan/zoku) Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - comedy
Seitokai no Ichizon - school/comedy
Saki - mahjong/comedy/yuri
K-on! - slice of life/school/music/comedy
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - school/comedy
Air - visual novel/romance
The Daughter of 20 Faces - crime/mystery/adventure
Bamboo Blade - kendo/comedy/slice of life
Shigofumi - dark/supernatural
Bakemonogatari - monsters/romance/comedy
Candy boy - yuri/romance/short eps
[REC] - romance/short eps
hard to slot some of these into true genres. They are all pretty clean with only mild ecchi and yuri scenes for the most part or none at all, most feature a certain amount of romance, there's a mix of single, double and 4 season long shows there.

The last one is rather old tho, quality versions are hard to find but i find the story quite ok
