I played this game last night after a couple of people talked about it in mmo-champion IRC channel. It took a while before it was downloaded ( 1.7gb client capped at 450kb/s download ) but after it was downloaded and installed ( well the installed crashed at 100% but the game ran fine apart from one crash ) i strarted to login. Made a character ( loved the character creation screen btw ) and started playing.
The loading screen promised me a rich enviorment full of detail and stuff
Somehow the game felt really familiar like everything was already known to me. I rolled a Soldier class. Basicly its a class that has Anger to use its abilities and it can tank or dps. Uses Heavy armor or lower.
When i leveled up a bit i got a shiny new attack, "Increases your party's attack power by xx for a short amount of time". A level later another new shiny attack: "Increases the damage of your next attack, also increases the amount of hate generated by that swing". And another level or 2 higher: "Bleeds the enemy, doing xx physical damage every 2 seconds".
Thats when i started talking in the Development channel about a few things. Mostly of how similar it was to WoW. Apparently once you get to level 50 or so it is nothing like wow. But i didnt stay around long enough to get that far ( my char is stuck in a pit somewhere at level 6 ).
This is also one of the very few games my computer can handle at 60fps on Ultra settings! Yes, Ultra!
Oh, and the game is set to launch next monday if you pre-paid the game, wednesday for everyone else.
