erm i would like to be enlightened as to how can a screen be 3D ? and what are the differences between a 3rd screen and a regular flat one

The game will be rendered from 2 viewpoints pretty close to each other, 1 for the left eye and 1 for the right. The screen will then alternate left and right eye view point frames, and the special glasses will open/close at the same time, so your left eye will only see the images from a left-eye point of view, and your right eye will only see the right-eye images. End result is that your brain will see the rendered stuff in 3D.

Since it doesnt look like the ASUS screen is getting better availability, was thinking of getting the BenQ XL2420T instead. Anyone got experience with BenQ screens? (engima/linden?)
