More than 6GB is not needed, most likely. And adding another 6 is easy to do later on if you just pop in 3x2 now. Also, the point in having i7 over i5 is to get more multitasking. The amount of multitasking you get from an i5 is enough to run a couple of browsers, loads of system services and at least one other game parallell with WoW. Just get that and a 5870. Unless Nvidia really dropped the prices on their latest line of gfx cards the 5800s will probably still be the most worthwhile. You might want to give it a few months though since 6800s are coming out fairly soon and likely they will kick ass AND drop the prices on 5800s

You should really look up on the CL(CAS Latency) on those memory sticks, having massive speed and terrible timings gets almost the same performance as a slower speed with a lot better CL timings.
You can overclock your memory sticks and get a lower latency but it can be tricky to finding the right latency and voltage for it to become stable. Also greatly depends on the type of memory you are using, how much you can clock them. You can even downclock your speed to get even lower latency in some cases. Running your FSB at a 1:1 ratio with cpu and memory is the most optimal.

They are CL9 as Enigma suggested.

Agree with Miba that you don't really need more than 6gb of ram, unless you run tons and tons of programs at the same time, adding more later is also easy as stated. You can also probably save some money by going for corsair XMS memory instead of dominator.
I don't think you should go for a HD5870 as miba is saying. The GTX480 is almost identically priced as a HD5780 and is a fair deal more powerful. Though if you want the most bang for your buck, go for the GTX460. And as always, Nvidia drivers > ATI drivers, which is one of the big reasons I'm a fanboi of Nvidia ^^

Website of the store says the memory's latency times are 9-9-9-24
The reason I want to go for 12GB is so I can put Windows' page file in it's memory instead of on a disk. Atm I have wow running on windows 7 with pagefile on disk and the memory usage is close to 3GB. That's without any applications.

Oh and I must add about the memory. If you buy a 1600Mhz stick then you will most likely need to overclock your cpu to be able to fully use it. If you run at stock cpu speeds then your ram will be running at 1333mhz, which is what pc10600 is. It's not much overclocking that's needed though, and depending on your mother board, you might not need to OC at all.
