Akimbo is ruining the game.

Netcode is pretty fucking shit, I hear. Not noticing too many problems, apparently people with good connections and rigs should experience this more. I include myself in that subgroup so I guess it is more of an american issue... From what I hear it is only present in the p2p system anyway so whatever.

PP90m1 and Type 95 are both quite OP, but since akimbo is fucking ridiculous that is not really addressed yet.

Killstreaks are in some ways less annoying than before (choppers can be shot down fairly easily compared to earlier, and avoided also) but in other ways are more annoying (support package lets the baddies get fucking juggernaut and emp all the time...). Personally I play specialist mostly. Biggest reason is the massive + exp it gives...

I really like the feel of most ARs. Ideally they would add 30% more hp so that it takes 4 bullets rather than 3 to kill people. Just to make it more about aim than reflexes and also to let skilled players have an easier time when facing multiple enemies.

Movement and interface response are CoD quality , aka it is pretty fucking amazing.

CoD elite might not launch for PC at all, last I heard. Massive indication that they do not give a single fuck about the PC community.

com_maxfps, cg_drawfps, cg_fov and a few other pretty crucial settings are not controllable. There seems to be a 3rd party program on its way (not widescreenfixer) that changes the fov. If and when it comes, I'll use it. If they ban me I will just never buy another CoD title. Releasing a 65 fov game on PC with no way to change it is retarded. Same goes for max fps. It's locked at 90, which is better than 60, and for anyone with a regular monitor it isn't a big issue I guess, me having 120Hz I'm pretty annoyed.

All in all, some things are just fucked the hell up. If they just gave us control over fov (or a 3rd party software could do that and not get u banned) and toned town akimbo (said to be in a patch beeing released this week), it is a pretty nice game. Best CoD game for public play so far imho. For it's time though, it is of course terrible compared to CoD4.

Mod tools would be cool aswell. Guessing it will never happen though.

MW3 isn't great, but it's far from bad. I went from having time fly by in a few 4-6hours gaming sessions, to getting so pissed off after 30min that I have to get away from the console to not break anything.

Nerfing Akimbo, fixing a few head glitches, fixing the colorblind bug that makes you see stealth bombers, getting rid of that fucking shit netcode, improving bullet registration a little and obviously fixing spawns would in my opinion make this one of the better games in the CoD series.

Agree with Fonz (except the obvious in console for fps being completely shit!:D).

Bit of tweaks to netcode (colorblind fix is coming, and so is appearantly akimbo nerf... seeing stealth bombers without looking at the minimap is really easy though. i get killed by like every 10th or something at most...) and spawns, and i'm guessing console gamers can be somewhat satisfied. PC gamers do need fov and maxfps unlocked before its one of the best in the franchise.

It is still way better than mw2. Roughly on par with BO (guess that might be mostly cause then the most OP weapon was an AR and thats imho the only "real" weapon choise so i liked it a bit more than i maybe shouldve). Could be made to be better than BO roughly up to the standard of mw1 with some proper fixes.

An yes. CoD might not be great, but it sure as hell are the best FPS games beeing released today. As far as BF goes it is just way way way too slow for me. Also from what I've felt playing on a friends computer (BF BC2 and BF3, also played 1942 back in the day but it was just a lulzy worse game than CS so whatever) it just doesnt feel as responsive and the overall sense of control over what ur guy is doing is just horrible in comparison. In cod, quake and cs I feel like I hit someone when I do. In BF, not so much.

Too large maps, fucking retarded vehicles, way too much open space, misbehaving weapons, respawn timers etc. etc. etc.

CS (any of them), unless ur playing CSDM, is super slow compared to CoD.

MW3 has far better graphics than MW2, and BC2. Nowhere near BF3, granted. Also, why would the graphics be a reason to call it a "patch"? How about that the weapon handling is completly different? Games are about gameplay, graphics arent even top 5 most important things. Best FPS atm IMHO is quake live. Awesome graphics in that one.




Oh and ye. Getting nuke most likely means U are playing it too slow^^
